No more nut-free Oranges?

Production of Terry's Chocolate products (e.g. Chocolate oranges) is being transferred from York to facilities in Europe meaning that labels will change to reflect different cross-contamination risks. Watch out for warning labels on all individual products as the same products on sale side by side may carry different warnings. Any queries - contact: 0808 1000878

New stir-fry dish cooks up a storm

Peanut shoots/sprouts have been introduced into the fresh vegetable section of supermarkets across the UK. Sainsbury's also sell a mixed stir-fry pack which contains peanut shoots. This may be a serious risk to individuals with peanut allergy.

Beware because:

  • Peanut shoots are believed to be allergenic

  • They are very similar in appearance to beansprouts and could easily be mistaken

  • There may be an increased cross-contamination risk between similar products
