Party Poopers

On a recent visit to my local Tesco store I began my great Christmas pudding hunt. I was prepared, I'd started early... very early for me... last year I did it on Christmas Eve. Yet despite a massive advertising campaign on the telly promoting a nut-free and alcohol-free pudding there was not a single nut-free pud available.

I asked a manager about his stark, empty shelves and he informed me that there had been supply problems and they wouldn't be getting any more in before Christmas. It was 11th December, surely a sad state of affairs.

So I phoned Tesco customer services who informed me of a national nut-free pudding drought (in Tesco stores at least). The advisor is still looking into the nut-free Christmas cake situation, but I have given up hope after several days awaiting a reply.

Well, Tesco - Great adverts, nice sentiment - a shame you can't deliver the goods.
